A global team of compassionate AI experts, including our Kaggle AI competition winners, have volunteered their time and expertise to improve animal welfare.

They are currently working on creative solutions to further boost pet adoption effectiveness, developing AI tools that can be deployed for global shelters and rescuers.

Benjamin Minixhofer, Austria
Benjamin Minixhofer is a 19 year old developer from Austria. He just finished high school and is self-taught in machine learning. He will soon start mandatory paid community service in Austria and plans to study AI abroad afterwards.

After participating and reaching 6th place in the PetFinder.my AI challenge, he decided to further contribute to the welfare of pets by volunteering to write AI solutions for PetFinder.my.
Marios Michailidis, Greece
Marios Michailidis is a competitive data scientist at H2O.ai and a Kaggle Grandmaster. He also holds a PhD in machine learning from the University College London (UCL). He has worked in AI, marketing and credit sectors and has led many analytics’ projects with various themes including: Acquisition, retention, recommenders, uplift, fraud detection, portfolio optimization and more. He is the creator of KazAnova, a freeware GUI for credit scoring as well as is the creator of the open source StackNet Meta-Modelling Framework. In his spare time, he loves competing on Kaggle.com where he was ranked 1st out of thousands of data scientists. He also loves to spend time with his 4-legged family (of 5).

Sudalai Rajkumar, India
Sudalai Rajkumar (aka SRK) is a Data Scientist at H2O.ai, working on Natural Language Processing. He has 10 years of experience in the ML field and has done both consulting and product development roles. He has worked in multiple domains including finance, customer support, e-commerce and health care.

Apart from his day job, he takes part in various data science competitions to enhance his knowledge and has won several of them. He is a Kaggle Grandmaster in Competitions & Kernels section.

Wu Yuanhao, China
Wu Yuanhao comes from a small town, and currently lives in the biggest city in China. He studied robotics in school and obtained the B.S. and M.S. degrees from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China.

He is now an enthusiast of AI, and wishes to make the world a better place with algorithms. He has taken part in many algorithm competitions, and he is a Competitions Grandmaster on Kaggle.
Christof Henkel, Germany
Christof Henkel completed his PhD in mathematics before working as a machine learning engineer at a startup in Munich 3 years ago. He specializes in deep learning, focusing on computer vision and NLP problems.

In parallel, he joined Kaggle 2 years ago to compete in solving machine learning problems, and has participated in over a dozen competitions. He is really looking forward to applying his expertise to do good by helping improve animal welfare.
Genta Kikuchi, Japan
Genta Kikuchi works as a data scientist in the automotive industry and enjoys data analysis.

He feels that it is a great honor to lend a helping hand towards benefitting animal welfare.
Shotaro Ishihara, Japan
Shotaro Ishihara works as a data analyst at a Japanese newspaper company. He is a Kaggle Master with the handle name "u++" and enjoys data science competition.

He is honored to have performed well in PetFinder.my's competition, and that his work can contribute towards more efficient pet adoption.
Takumi Okoshi, Japan
Takumi Okoshi is a data scientist at a Japanese IT company, responsible for analyzing sports data.

He is honored to win 2nd place in PetFinder.my's Kaggle competition, and to participate in a cool AI project.
Yuki Nakatsuka, Japan
Yuki Nakatsuka is a data scientist at a Japanese mobile network carrier company.

He is glad that their solution is adopted by PetFinder.my. He discovered that PetFinder.my has plenty of interesting data such as images, text, tabular data.
Yuya Osujo, Japan
Yuya Osujo is a machine learning engineer at a Japanese AI company.

He wishes that his AI solutions can bring forth more happiness for the homeless animals.
