Update: BB's Condition
BB was rushed to the hospital by volunteers this morning due to persistent diarrhea and loss of appetite. In addition to testing for canine distemper virus and canine parvovirus, a detailed examination was conducted to check for tick fever. Unfortunately, BB tested positive for two strains of tick fever, which can severely impact a dog's health, especially with low platelet count that may lead to bleeding issues. BB also has cryptorchidism and severe dental problems with teeth decay and loss.

The veterinarian has devised a comprehensive treatment plan, including treatment for tick fever, platelet supplementation, nasal-gastric tube feeding, hydration through intravenous fluids, management of cryptorchidism, and potential dental treatment. The most crucial aspect is ensuring BB receives ample rest and care to facilitate recovery.

The costs for this series of treatments are extremely high, particularly with detailed examinations, tests, and long-term care. Complications from diseases like tick fever can further escalate expenses. Nonetheless, we are committed to providing BB with the best possible medical care until recovery.
