The day began with Dr. Jane at Sunda Shelves for a book signing and a cosy lunch. We were also graced by the presence of Tuanku Zara Salim who joined us to make this moment extra special.

@sunda.shelves, a book cafe that takes its name from Southeast Asias Sunda Shelf, is a hub for conservation efforts and a significant contributor to global biodiversity, hosting numerous rare and unique species. This was the perfect place for Dr. Jane to kickstart her visit with us!

Later that day, moderated by Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar, Chairman of @bursamalaysia and WWF Malaysia, Dr. Jane had a fireside chat on Bridging Markets and Biodiversity.

This was an important session, because Dr. Jane highlighted the urgency of integrating environmental considerations into economic decisions, inspiring leaders to align market strategies with conservation goals for a more sustainable future.

Dr. Janes day concluded with an inspiring evening, where she delivered a powerful talk on sustainability titled Reasons for Hope. She emphasised the importance of learning from nature, understanding humanitys impact on the planet, and inspiring change through powerful storytelling.

The event also highlighted Tzu Chi Foundation Malaysias ongoing environmental conservation efforts, a mission rooted in the vision of its founder, Dharma Master Cheng Yen, since 1995.

More than 1,000 people gathered at the Tzu Chi Jing Si Hall in Kepong, where Dr. Jane left the audience with a profound call to action: Together we can, together we will, together we must save the world.
