Fresh sand, fresh start!

We changed the sand in our terrapin hatchery today ahead of the terrapin nesting season that is expected to begin mid-January. This is essential for providing a clean environment for the incubation of terrapin eggs

Clean sand also reduces the risk of harmful mould/fungi and bacteria growth that can compromise the health of the eggs and developing embryos.
