Team TCS went on a river patrol today and guess what we found? We sighted not one, but two river terrapins surfacing for air! River terrapins in Terengganu typically begin nesting in mid-January and the nesting duration lasts approximately 2.5 to 3 months. During the nesting season, our Terrapins Guardians will work from dusk to dawn to collect the eggs and incubate them in a hatchery. Well go back to the river tomorrow with our drone, and hopefully get better photos and videos! Our river surveys are supported by a research grant from the Asian Species Action Partnership @iucn_asap. #terrapinconservation #terrapinnestingproject #bataguraffinis #turtleconservation #saveturtles #protectturtle #endangeredspecies @perhilitan_malaysia @mpkemaman @beautifulterengganumalaysia
