Nixie is a gorgeous tortie at an office building. The management of this office have offered the guards a reward of RM 20 for every cat that they catch. Sadly, we are told that the cats at this venue are fast disappearing, although we have spoken to the management and are doing our best to help the feeders of the strays in these premises to neuter the cats. Nixie is one the previously neutered cats. She is friendly, affectionate and a delight to watch, meowing softly and pawing at her feeders to play after she is fed. She comes running when called by her feeders and rubs against their legs but gets terrified at attempts to carry or cage her. She was found with a wound that looks like it was caused by a crude attempt to catch her with a lasso of some sort. We dont normally rescue but responded to her feeders requests to trap her and admit her to our panel clinic for treatment of the wound. Her feeders do not wish to return her to the building and are making fostering arrangements until they can get her adopted, after she recovers.
