Whats a skill or lesson youve gained through RASMA that you now use in your daily life?
RASMA is an out of classroom, hands-on learning experience for me. It taught me the power of dreams and small actions-nothing is truly small if you set your mind to it.I have learned to believe in myself and to speak for those who cant even when nobody is listening. Dr Jane Goodall has created a safe space for living beings, and I am now working to create safe spaces around me so that all beings feel safe and have hope. Hope, that is something I embrace in my life after volunteering with RASMA. The hope of betterment, change and flourishing for all living things.
Whats one myth about volunteering that youd like to debunk?
Volunteering requires a lot of money and time Not at all! During my time with RASMA, I volunteered online due to schooling. I help with online work and join their physical events whenever it fits my schedule. What I am trying to say is, everyone can help, volunteer and make a difference despite their circumstances. Everyone has something to give and RASMA is very inclusive with that!
