On 20 January 2025, the SPCA received an urgent call about a cat bleeding heavily from his head.

Ginger Pumin, an eight-year-old boy, was first rushed to Advanced Vet Care for emergency treatment before being brought to the SPCA. It was suspected he had been the victim of a hit-and-run accident. Along with head trauma and a fractured jaw, he struggled to walk properly and was in deep distress.

From the moment Ginger Pumin arrived, our clinic team has been by his side. At first, he was very reserved and refused to eat. The team provided syringe and tube feeding to keep him nourished, while administering appetite stimulants to encourage him to eat independently.

With time, dedicated care and gentle encouragement, he slowly regained his appetite and began to show signs of recovery. Today, he is a much brighter cat who seeks out pats and affection from people he trusts. His head tilt remains, but he is walking much better and gaining confidence with each passing day.

Ginger Pumins journey is a testament to how accessible and timely veterinary care can transform lives. There are many more animals like Ginger Pumin who rely on the SPCAs Community Animal Clinic for their second chance. A donation can bring healing and hope to countless animals when they need it most.
