The day after our event ended, we were on our way back to Johor Bahru when we passed a residential area and spotted a small, lonely figure sitting silently in front of a house.

Even from a distance, we could clearly see a large tumor near her ear. We immediately stopped the car and approached the house to ask the owner. The owner simply said, I dont have the money to take her to the vet. The tumor keeps getting bigger. I cant do anything, so I just let her be. His words left us with mixed emotionshelplessness, sorrow, and anger.

Up close, the poor dogs condition was heartbreaking. The tumor was already festering, her fur was greasy and matted, fleas were crawling on her body, and her nails were overgrown and deformed. It was obvious that she had been neglected for a long time.

After some discussion, the owner agreed to let us take her in. Even though our shelter in Pekan is already drowning in debt, after much deliberation, we decided to bring her back from Kuala Lumpur.

The next day, we took her to the vet. After an initial examination and blood tests, the vet confirmed that surgery is urgently needed to remove the tumor. The procedure is scheduled for next week, with an estimated cost of RM1300. Including post-surgery treatment and care, the total expenses will likely amount to several thousand ringgit.

We are sincerely pleading for your help to cover her medical costs.

We cant imagine the pain she must have endured, sitting there helplessly, just waiting for death because no one was willing to help her.

Once again, we urge everyone: Think carefully before getting a pet. Pets are a lifelong responsibilityfrom youth to old age, from health to sickness. Over the years, weve seen far too many heartbreaking cases like this. Its truly saddening and frustrating.

Let us not let another innocent life suffer in silence.
