But behind every number is a team that most people never see.

This season, our work is carried by:

Every night, while most people are asleep, they are out on the riverbanks. Walking sandbanks in the dark. Checking nests. Keeping watch. Making sure precious eggs make it safely into the hatchery for incubation. Some nights are quiet. Some nights are long. Many nights are simply exhausting.

There are no shortcuts in this work. Just people showing up, again and again, because they believe the future of our critically endangered river terrapins is worth protecting.

We dont often talk about the tired faces, the missed dinners, or the nights that stretch into mornings. But this is what sits behind every milestone you see online.

If this isnt dedication, we dont know what is.
