HORSES NEED YOUR HELP:

These horses survived shelling, shrapnel wounds, abandonment, and life on the front lines of war in Ukraine.

Their owner fled with Russian forces, leaving them behind under constant attack. More than 35 shellings hit the area. Some horses were killed. Others suffered devastating injuries. One brave caretaker stayed behind to protect them through it all and has now been diagnosed with cancer.

After a long and dangerous operation involving the International Red Cross and the White Angels police unit, the horses were finally evacuated to safety with Shelter 911.

Now we urgently need to move them to pasture. Right now, feeding them costs hundreds of dollars every single week money that could instead go toward rescue and veterinary care.

Pasture will give them space to heal and dramatically reduce ongoing costs.
