Shes not even 1 year old yet she may never walk normally again.

Today, HOPE founder Auntie Jia Jia went out as usual to feed the strays.

Normally, MAY would be the first to run towards her, wagging her tail excitedly.

But today she didnt come.

After searching for a while, Auntie finally found MAY curled up weakly in a corner.

She didnt run over.
Because she couldnt.

Her right hind leg was badly deformed, with the bone visibly protruding.
Every tiny movement looked unbearably painful.

No one knows what happened to her.
Maybe she was hit by a car.
Maybe she had already been dragging this broken leg around the streets for days

But the most heartbreaking part is this

MAY is still just a baby.
Shes not even 1 year old.

While other dogs are still happily running and growing up carefree,
MAY has already learned how to endure pain in silence.

After X-rays and examinations, the vet confirmed:
MAY urgently needs orthopedic surgery.

Without it, she may never walk properly again.
And the worsening injury could leave her in lifelong pain.

The surgery will cost around RM3200.

To some, it may just be a medical bill.
But to MAY, it is the difference between suffering forever or having a second chance at life.

HOPE has already been overwhelmed with medical cases recently,
but we truly cannot bear to give up on her.

Because if HOPE doesnt save her
she may have no future left at all.

She is not someones pet.
She is just another forgotten stray on the street.

But she wants to live too.
She deserves the chance to run again.
