Building a shelter goes far beyond rescue.

Behind every NGO are years of planning, approvals, fundraising, public education, sterilisation efforts, policy discussions, and difficult conversations that most people never see.

For SSPCA, the goal was never only to provide temporary shelter for animals.
The long-term goal has always been to push for better animal welfare systems and meaningful change in Sarawak even if progress takes time.

Because compassion is not only about rescuing animals.
It is also about building a community where fewer animals are abandoned to begin with.
