The Threat is Real. The Time Is Now.

Royal Belum State Park is one of the last strongholds of tigers in our country and one of the world's oldest rainforests in the world (130 million years old). Yet this vital landscape continues to face immense threats:

Less than 150 wild tigers are estimated to remain
Habitat loss and fragmentation continue to shrink their world
Poaching and illegal wildlife trade remain serious threats
Recovery becomes increasingly difficult without sustained ranger capacity

Through ranger training, patrols and monitoring efforts across tiger landscapes, conservation teams are working to safeguard critical habitats and the wildlife that depend on them. Protecting tigers requires a network of trained rangers across these landscapes to:
Train new rangers in real tiger habitats
Lead high-risk patrols in conservation priority zones
Improve monitoring and threat detection capability
Mentor teams to be independently deployed in the field.

Every trained ranger strengthens our ability to protect Malaysia's remaining wild tigers and the forests they call home.

This Global Tiger Day, support the rangers helping to secure a future for the Malayan tiger. Please donate at http://wwf.org.my/globaltigerday. Thank you.
