WWF-Malaysia joined KOSALESA (Koperasi Sawit Lahad Datu Sabah Berhad) in engaging 40 members of Pertubuhan Peladang Kawasan (PPK) Lahad Datu during an RSPO Certification awareness session, reflecting growing momentum to support independent smallholders on their sustainability journey. During the session, we shared insights on the benefits of RSPO Certification and the certification process for independent smallholders, while KOSALESA highlighted how it supports members in achieving certification and connecting with sustainable palm oil markets. The session received strong interest from participants keen to learn more about certification opportunities. By encouraging the adoption of sustainable practices among smallholders, such efforts can contribute to a more resilient palm oil sector while supporting the long-term health of the Tabin landscape. Registration of inclusion for the new member under KOSALESA RSPO Certification Programme are open to the interested independent smallholders, with application support available through KOSALESA and PPK Lahad Datu, alongside continued outreach to smallholders in the area. #wwfmy #SabahLandscapesProgramme #RSPO #SustainablePalmOil
