Herni was a rescue from the streets. We found her outside a bank meowing at people, asking for pets and rubs as they walked past her. Herni had an odd looking tummy when we met her as though she was heavily pregnant, however the protrusion of her stomach was only prominent on the right side of her abdomen. As you can tell from her unique name, Herni was named after her condition which was an inguinal hernia, a tear in the abdominal wall causing internal organs to fall out of the body cavity. We suspect she might have been a victim of a hit and run :( She was diagnosed and treated (surgically) by her vet and is now up for adoption.
We do not have the heart to release her back to where we found her despite her being spayed already (as a TNR) because there are many stray dogs in the area where she likes to hang out.

Herni is extremely human friendly, sweet and gentle. She is crazy for food and will chat with you for hours. She has been vaccinated, dewormed, deflead and spayed. Herni is suitable as a SOLO cat at home as she does not tolerate other cats.

She must ONLY be an indoor cat should you wish to adopt her, and your house/ condo needs to be cat proof.

As of 19th August 2021, we have decided to rename Herni to Emmy, short for Emerald as a tribute to her beautiful green eyes!
